SMALL - SELECTIVE - SUCCESSFULL

I have been owned by this fabulous breed since 1990 -  Wow where have those years gone!

What does EDELGEIST mean ?  It is a combination of 2 German words -

EDEL - meaning NOBLE and GEIST which means SPIRIT - I believe a true description of the Mini Schnauzers and Boxers who I have shared my life with.

My first show dog was a Boxer - Aust Ch Tamberlan Princess Jade (Ilsa) and it was at our first show that I first saw a Mini Schnauzer. I asked the breeder of Ilsa "What breed is that?" - Coral THAT is JUST a mini Schnauzer - you really dont want to get involved in that breed - too much grooming, was her reply!

Well it took a couple of  years and my love affair commenced - Bartigein On Target came into my life and what a life we had together - "Rebel" shared my dreams, my hopes, my fears and my secrets - he was truly my heart and soul dog!  He was a showman he loved the ring and I am sure he knew when to strutt his stuff!  I miss him everyday - gone but NEVER forgotton

He gained his Australian Championship title with ease and was the FIRST MALE Mini in Australia to be awarded his Grand Championship title. That was the first chapter of my involvement in creating breed history.

Over the years I have titled many dogs that I have bred myself and for  other Australian, American and Spanish Breeders.

I have imported 3 dogs from one of America's top respected Kennels - Daree Kennels from Portland Oregan and recently imported 2 WHITE minis from one of Europes top Kennels - Made In Spain located in Madrid.

White Minis have been recognised in Australia for only a short time although I have known about them for many years and I always said that if they became recognised in Australia I would have one in a heart beat! Well in 2013 my stunning Whites arrived - Made in Spain Alboroto and Made In Spain Besame Siempre - Carlo & Bianca.  I am extremely proud that Carlo & Bianca have created breed history by being the FIRST MALE & FEMALE white minis to have been awarded their Australian Championship title.  Many Australian judges have not seen or even aware that the white color was recognised  and it has been a big learning curve for all to see and appreciate them.

I am endebted to Jacqueline Lasry (Madrid) for allowing me to have  these beautiful dogs and we look forward to the future and maybe create a further chapter by having the first Australian Bred White champion.

We look forward to 2016 and what the future may bring.
